'Varanasi' to make global debut at CCXP Mexico 2026; to unveil BTS footage of Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra starrer

After ‘Ramayana‘ made waves on the international stage with its participation at CinemaCon, SS Rajamouli is now gearing up to take over the global stage with his film ‘Varanasi’.

‘Varanasi’ to make CCXP Mexico debut

On Thursday, the film’s team announced that ‘Varanasi’ is set to make its first global appearance at CCXP Mexico 2026 with a dedicated panel that will offer fans an exclusive look at the upcoming film starring Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj in lead roles.Scheduled for April 24 at the Thunder Stage by Cinemex, the panel will reportedly be presented by SS Karthikeya. The session will include a preview of the film, a special video message from filmmaker Rajamouli, and a never-before-seen behind-the-scenes (BTS) video.

Special BTS clip to be unveiled at CCXP

Announcing the development on social media, the film’s official handle tweeted, “#VARANASI makes its first global appearance at #CCXPMX26 with an exclusive panel on April 24 at the Thunder Stage. We will be showcasing our ‘Varanasi to the World’ glimpse on the big stage… An exclusive video message from @ssrajamouli and never seen before BTS moments crafted especially for everyone present there.”They also announced that the presentation will conclude with an interactive Q&A session with the audience. CCXP Mexico, is one of Latin America’s largest pop culture festivals, bringing together films, television, comics, anime, gaming and cosplay under one platform. The 2026 edition will take place from April 24 to 26.

House of the Dragon‘ to ‘Supergirl‘ to feature at CCXP 2026

The event will also feature major panels and appearances from international projects and stars, including ‘House of the Dragon’ cast members such as Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Fabien Frankel, as well as showcases for ‘Star Trek: Strange New Worlds’, ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’, and ‘Supergirl’, featuring Milly Alcock and director Craig Gillespie.Much like ‘Ramayana’, ‘Varanasi’ is also setting itself up for a major global debut. Both films are reportedly eyeing IMAX screenings. While ‘Ramayana’ is scheduled to release on Diwali 2026, ‘Varanasi’ is eyeing an April 2027 release.
