Michael Jackson and his brothers started their careers in the world of music from an early age. They were all a part of the musical group Jackson 5 that defined the music of their era. However, there had been some allegations and rumors about how their father, Joe Jackson, had forced them to work in the bad. Jackie Jackson, who is best known for songs like ‘I Want You Back’ and ‘Love Don’t Want To Leave’, recently addressed the rumors and set the record straight.

While talking to PEOPLE at the Los Angeles premiere of the Michael Jackson biopic movie, the popular singer and the second-oldest member of Jackson 5 addressed the rumors surrounding his father. There had been many claims over the years that the Jackson brothers were allegedly ‘forced’ by their father, Joe Jackson, to work in the band.However, the situation seems to be very far-fetched. The veteran singer talked about the matter and cited that “A lot of people think my father forced this on us. No, he did not. We wanted to do it.” He furthermore concluded that their father honed in on their talents and helped them. He added that Joe Jackson “saw the talent in his family, and he brought us instruments.” The Jackson brothers’ father worked as the group’s manager at the time, and passed away in 2018 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.Marlon Jackson, while attending the premiere, also talked about the film and their family dynamic, adding that “I want the people to understand when they come see this movie that this family is no different than any other family. We have our ups and downs, trials, and tribulations. And we learned to agree to disagree. And it’s a huge family.”

Starring Jackson’s nephew Jaafar Jackson in the lead role, the film revolves around the pop sensation and his overall career and rise to fame.
