According to Pinkvilla, Ranbir is actively reading multiple scripts, intending to lock one film that can go on floors ahead of ‘Animal Park’, which is slated to begin production by the end of 2027. Currently, two high-profile projects have emerged as frontrunners: ‘Brahmastra 2’, directed by Ayan Mukerji, and the highly anticipated reboot ‘Dhoom 4’, backed by Yash Raj Films. Ranbir has heard the ideas for both ‘Brahmastra 2’ and ‘Dhoom 4’ and liked the worlds being created in each. However, he is awaiting bound scripts before making a final decision.

Ranbir Kapoor faces challenges with upcoming projects

‘Dhoom 4’ is still in its initial phase, as the studio has yet to lock a director for the reboot, while ‘Brahmastra 2’ is facing casting roadblocks. The sequel, which expands the fantasy universe, was originally set to feature Deepika Padukone as Amrita alongside Ranbir Kapoor’s Dev. However, with the actor expecting her second child, the team is now looking at alternative casting options for the role.
