How did the ‘Don 3’ dispute begin?

The fallout became public after Ranveer Singh’s exit from ‘Don 3’, backed by Farhan and Ritesh’s venture. Reports suggested that the production house had sought Rs 40 crore in compensation, citing pre-production costs, scheduling disruptions, and related losses, all reportedly carried out with the actor’s prior approval. Singh, on his part, was said to have walked away due to dissatisfaction with the script, the absence of a bound script, and concerns over the project’s overall management. As the standoff escalated, the Producers Guild of India reportedly stepped in to mediate.

Aamir Khan‘s denial and the road to resolution

Amid the dispute, reports of Aamir Khan mediating between the two parties surfaced briefly, only to be swiftly shut down. As per Bollywood Hungama, Aamir Khan ‘flatly denied any hand in the Ranveer-Farhan Akhtar dispute.’

What’s next for ‘Don 3’?

With no official word from the makers, ‘Don 3’ remains in a state of uncertainty. Conflicting reports have even suggested that Farhan Akhtar could potentially step into the titular role himself. For now, the franchise’s future hangs in the balance, though one thing is clear: the ‘Don’ saga is far from over.
