Canadian billionaire Kevin O'Leary on AI tools: You are already behind if you are not ...

Canadian billionaire and former Shark Tank investor Kevin O’Leary has now issued a stark warning to businesses and creators, saying that those not actively adopting artificial intelligence (AI) tools are already falling behind. In a recent post shared on social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) O’Leary stressed that AI is no longer optional, describing it as a competitive necessity which is now transforming execution cycles across industries. Along with this, O’Leary also highlighted the dramatic shift from weeklong execution cycles to near-instant output, driven by AI. He also added that companies who are treating AU as a “nice-to-have” are losing pace. On the other hand, those integrating AI into core workflows are cutting costs and Alsop boosting creative throughput. Every company he is invited with, he noted now uses AI for content creation, advertising, and customer acquisition.

The winning strategy is to use AI: Kevin O’Leary

As per O’Leary, the winning strategy is to use AI to draft and generate content, then rely on human teams to refine it with precision. He also pointed to the startups licensing multiple AI stacks to produce ads, social media campaigns, and video content, compressing timelines and reducing overhead. O’Leary said AI is spreading across industries, including finance, real estate, and customer management workflows, and even into his personal photography projects. He argued that young entrepreneurs and creators can leverage AI-driven production to achieve results once reserved for larger teams, with some earning up to $500,000 annually through social media storytelling.

“I’ve seen businesses take weeks to execute, now it’s seconds. That’s not evolution, that’s a revolution. I use AI across everything: finance, marketing, even my own photography. If you’re not leveraging these tools, you’re already behind. This isn’t optional anymore.”
