In a recent update, the United States is all geared up for what they are calling the worst blockbuster snow storm officially named Winter Storm Fern. As per weather reports, the storm is going to hit across the country between January 23 and January 26, 2026. Heavy snow, dangerous ice, and uncomfortable Arctic temperatures are predicted across much of the nation. As per current update, the storm has resulted in massive travel disruption, including more than 10,000 flight cancellations over the weekend. As per the National Weather Service (NWS) and U.S. government alerts, the winter storm’s impacts will be from the Southern Plains up into the Northeast. Official flight tracking data and airline reporting show that thousands of flights have already been cancelled nationwide.Major airports in cities such as Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, and Boston are experiencing disruptions.Airlines including American, Delta, United, Southwest, and JetBlue are reporting delays, cancellations.Delta Air Lines took to X and posted, “With Winter Storm Fern approaching, our teams are monitoring conditions and adjusting flight schedules where necessary. We encourage customers in affected areas to move their flights at no charge to before or after the storm.”Other international carriers, such as Air India, Emirates, among others have also cancelled flights to affected U.S. cities.
