'Don’t care if you faint, but the shot is ready': Elli AvrRam says South film sets are 'more peaceful' than Bollywood
Actress Elli AvrRam finds South Indian film sets more peaceful than Bollywood, noting a preference for quiet and efficient communication. She also highlighted the issue of typecasting in Bollywood, where actors are often confined to specific roles, surprising many with her performance in ‘Malang’ as a serious character.

Actress Elli AvrRam has worked for a long time in the entertainment circuit, having performed in both Bollywood and South films. The ‘Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon’ actress recently opened up about the difference she felt while working in both industries.

Elli AvrRam shares there’s more peace in South sets

While speaking with Bollywood Bubble, Elli shared, “I have found it more peaceful on set in the South.” She showed with her hands that Bollywood feels fast and rushed. She also said South crews like to stay calm and quiet. “They prefer to use walkie-talkies instead of shouting and screaming,” she added.The ‘Mickey Virus’ actress also shared about her tough moments in Bollywood. She explained how sometimes things move too fast there. She said, “My experience in Bollywood has been more like, even if you are eating, but you are told your shot is ready.” She added, “We don’t care if you have eaten, if you faint, but the shot is ready.” Her words show how stressful it can feel at times. Still, she made it clear that not every team is like this.

Elli AvrRam talks about typecasting in Bollywood

Elli AvrRam also spoke about how actors are seen in Bollywood. She said, “Like, if you are cast in pretty girl roles, you stick to that.” She feels this limits actors. Talking about her role in ‘Malang’, she said people were surprised. “Nobody expected that I would do a role like this,” she shared. She also said filmmakers were shocked to see her as a serious actor. This made her realise that people often judge without knowing the full story. “Until they meet you and get to know your story, they will have this idea about you that this person will only fit into this,” she added.Speaking of her work front, she was last seen in the 2025 film, ‘Be Happy’.
