The actor, who plays Luke Cage in a now deleted social media post, shared a photo with leading man Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. SPOLIERS AHEAD

Colter briefly shared an apparent spoiler suggesting that Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil, will be arrested and thrown into prison. Charlie was seen posing for the pic in an orange prison uniform. The development has led fans to theorise a possible adaptation of the “Devil in Cell Block D” storyline, where the character is incarcerated before orchestrating a dramatic escape.

Fans react to Mike’s post

Daredevil and Spider-Man to team up againThe speculation has further fuelled rumours of a crossover with ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, particularly after fans pointed out a link between the series and a moment in the film’s trailer. In one sequence, Spider-Man is shown battling the Hand, a long-time adversary of Daredevil. This fight scene takes place in a prison, further fuelling speculation that Spider-Man could aid in Daredevil’s escape. Fans have also long suspected the two superheroes teaming up in the film that also features Mark Ruffalo as the Hulk and Jon Bernthal as The Punisher.

Charlie Cox denies ‘Spider-Man’ casting
