MHT CET 2026 registration reopens for second attempt; apply from April 15: Check official notice here

MHT CET 2026: The State Common Entrance Test Cell Maharashtra has announced a fresh registration window for the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) 2026 second attempt. The decision was taken after several candidates requested another chance to apply after missing the earlier deadline.According to the notification issued by the Government of Maharashtra, the registration window will open for two days from April 15 to April 16, 2026. Candidates can apply online with an additional late fee.The MHT CET (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Physics, Chemistry, Biology) 2026 examination is conducted for admission to Engineering, Pharmacy, and Agriculture courses for the academic year 2026-27.

MHT CET 2026 second attempt: Important dates

Candidates should keep a note of the key dates provided below:

  • Registration start date: April 15, 2026
  • Registration end date: April 16, 2026
  • Late fee: ₹500 for all categories
  • Tentative exam dates (second attempt): May 10 to May 16, 2026

Important instructions for candidates

The State Common Entrance Test Cell has also issued important guidelines for candidates:

  1. Candidates who missed the initial registration can apply for the second attempt during this period.
  2. Candidates already registered for both attempts do not need to register again.
  3. Candidates who have not created their Academic Bank of Credits Account Registry (APAAR) ID must create one through DigiLocker.
  4. No edit facility will be available after submission of the application form.
  5. Candidates are advised to carefully check all details before submitting the form.
  6. Applicants should regularly visit the official website for further updates and exam instructions.
