The batter appeared uncomfortable, struggling with sweat-soaked gloves that were affecting his grip. However, the request was turned down by the fourth umpire, leading to visible frustration in the Delhi camp.Nitish Rana stepped in to question the decision, engaging in a prolonged discussion with the umpire. Just moments after the denied request, Stubbs’ innings came to an abrupt end. Attempting to clear the infield, he miscued a shot off Jamie Overton, only to be caught by Noor Ahmad at mid-off. Clearly frustrated, Stubbs walked back to the pavilion and threw his bat and gloves in disappointment, marking a dramatic end to his fighting knock.
