IPU admissions 2026: Application deadline extended to April 30 for merit, national-level programmes

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU), or the IP University (IPU), has extended the last date to apply for its national-level test-based and merit-based programmes for the academic session 2026. Candidates can now submit their online applications until April 30 through the official website.The university has advised applicants to carefully select the correct programme and programme code while filling out the application form. Officials also cautioned candidates against rushing the process and stressed the importance of entering accurate details.The university clarified that there are separate application routes for Common Entrance Test (CET)-based programmes, national-level test-based programmes, and merit-based admissions. Candidates must ensure that they apply through the correct category. The application window for CET-based programmes has already been closed.Candidates are advised to visit the official website regularly for further updates.

Candidates can follow the steps below to complete the application process:

  • Visit the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University at ipu.ac.in
  • Open the admissions portal and register using your name, email ID, and mobile number
  • Log in using the generated credentials
  • Fill in personal, academic, and contact details
  • Select the programme you wish to apply for
  • Upload required documents in the prescribed format
  • Pay the application fee through available online payment options
  • Review all details carefully
  • Submit the application and download a copy for future reference

IPU introduces 24 new courses

For the 2026 academic session, IP University has introduced 24 new courses. These include:

  • Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS)
  • Lateral entry into Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Packaging Technology
  • Master of Technology (MTech) in Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
  • Master of Arts (MA) in Mass Communication (Weekend Programme)
  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy
  • Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Industrial Chemistry
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Clinical Psychology
  • BTech in Computer Science Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Data Science)
  • BTech in Computer Science and Business Systems
  • New programmes in Teacher Education and Inclusive Education
  • Additional weekend courses in selected fields

CUET scores to be used as secondary admission route

The university also confirmed that scores of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will be used as a secondary admission channel for most programmes. Seats that remain vacant after admissions through university-conducted entrance tests will be filled based on CUET merit.Candidates are advised to complete their application before the deadline and carefully verify all details before submitting the form.
