Zareen Khan’s mother Parveen Khan passes away; Funeral today in Versova, Mumbai
Actress Zareen Khan’s mother, Parveen Khan, has passed away in Mumbai after a prolonged illness. The family confirmed the news and stated the funeral will be held today. Zareen had been sharing updates on her mother’s health and recently mourned the loss of her pet cat. Khan, known for her debut in ‘Veer’, has a notable filmography.

Actress Zareen Khan’s mother, Parveen Khan, passed away on Wednesday in Mumbai after battling a longterm illness.The family issued a short official statement confirming the news. The funeral is scheduled for today, April 8, at 10 am in Versova, Mumbai.

Family’s statement

The statement read, “This is to inform that our beloved Ms Parveen Khan, mother of Zareen Khan and Sana Khan, has departed peacefully to her heavenly abode on the 8th of April (sic).” The family has requested privacy during this difficult period. Zareen’s sister Sana Khan is also mourning their mother.

Zareen Khan’s updates on social media

Zareen Khan had been sharing regular updates about her mother’s health on Instagram. In February, she posted, “Mom’s hospitalised again… Please keep her in your prayers!”She had been quietly asking fans and well-wishers to pray for her mother’s recovery.Just one day before her mother’s passing, Zareen lost her beloved pet cat Rambo. She shared a picture on Instagram Story and wrote, “My Baby left me this morning to unite with his siblings. Rest in Peace mera Bachcha, mera Rambo 18.07.2011 – 07.04.2026 .”

Zareen Khan made her Bollywood debut with the 2010 film ‘Veer’ opposite Salman Khan. Although the film turned out to be a flop, Zareen Khan got much attention for her stunning screen presence and charm, along with her acting skills. She later appeared in Salman Khan’s comedy entertainer ‘Ready’ which turned out to be a superhit and also she played several major roles in films such as ‘Housefull 2’, ‘Hate Story 3’, ‘Veerappan’, ‘Aksar 2’, ‘1921’, ‘Daaka’, ‘Chanakya’, ‘Jatt James Bond’, and even in a special appearance in a song for the Tamil film ‘Naan Rajavaga Pogiren’.
