Expectations are high as Ranbir Kapoor is stepping into the iconic role in Nitesh Tiwari’s ambitious two-part epic Ramayana. Although, there are some criticisms among the audiences, regarding Ranbir playing the role of Lord Rama, TV’s original Rama Arun Govil once shared his thoughts on the same.In an old interview, Govil expressed confidence in Ranbir’s ability to portray the character with sincerity and depth. He also praised the young actor’s moral values and dedication, calling him a “cultured kid.”

He works very hard. He is a very cultured kid, basically. He has a moral culture, I have seen it many times. The first part is scheduled for Diwali 2026 and the second for Diwali 2027.
