Allu Arjun’s upcoming sci-fi epic, ‘Raaka,’ directed by Atlee, has unveiled its first look, revealing the actor in a striking, transformed appearance. The poster, released on his birthday, has sparked comparisons to previous film characters. Atlee expressed deep personal connection to the project, calling it a long-held dream.

Allu Arjun’s upcoming film with ‘Jawan’ fame Atlee has been officially titled ‘Raaka’ and the makers also shared the first look of the actor. Soon after the poster was released today, celebrating the actor’s 44th birthday, internet users started making comparisons with some earlier films. Director Atlee shared the poster on his X (formerly Twitter) handle and wrote, “#Raaka isn’t just a film… it’s a part of me I’ve carried for years. For 18 years, I held on to one idea, never letting it fade. It tested me, shaped me, and stayed with me through everything. And honestly… this is just the beginning.”

‘Raaka’ poster featuring Allu Arjun

In the poster, Allu Arjun looks very different. He has kohl-lined eyes, a receding hairline, and a thick grey beard. He covers part of his face with a clawed hand and stares straight. Many fans were shocked. They did not expect this look in a sci-fi film. Allu Arjun also posted on his social media handle with the hashtag of the film. Interestingly, the way his character poses in the poster is the same way he poses in his profile picture on the social media handle. He keeps his left hand covering half of his face. Soon after the release, many people started comparing the look. Some said it looked like Vikram in ‘I’. One user wrote, “Sudden ga chusi i movie poster Anukunna.” Others compared it to Karthi in Kaashmora and said, “same undi ra Kashmora lo karthi la.” Some even linked the name ‘Raaka’ to a villain in ‘Shakthi’.

‘Raaka’ is set to be a grand sci-fi epic, which also features Deepika Padukone as the female lead. The film is currently in the production phase and reports have also suggested that Mrunal Thakur, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna would also be a part of the project.
