Every month, Kalashtami is observed on Ashtami tithi of Krishna paksha in the month. Kalashtami fast is going to be observed on April 10, 2026 during the month of Vaishakha.

Kalashatmi holds a great religious and spiritual significance among Hindus. The day is dedicated to worship Lord Kaal Bhairav, a fierce manifestation of Lord Kaal Bhairav. He is the god of justice and time, who give protection to the his ardent devotees. This fast is observed from dawn to dusk and the true devotees receive his blessings. Devotees should have true intentions, when it comes to worship him. People, who observe fast and worship him with immense devotion, get protection by him. He removes all the life’s issues, negative energies, old karmic patterns and sufferings from the life of his devotees. The people, who are seeking divine protection and spiritual growth are advised to observe this fast. Kalashtami April 2026: Puja Rituals

1. Devotees wake up early in the morning and take a holy bath. 2. Set up an altar with an image or idol of Kaal Bhairav.3. Light a four faced mustard oil diya in front of the idol and chant vedic mantras that are dedicated to worshipo Lord Kaal Bhairav. 4. The recitation of the Bhairav Ashtakam or Bhairav Chalisa and mantras like “Om Kaal Bhairavaya Namah” are essential components of the worship.5. Many follow a rigorous fast, breaking it after evening prayers.5. Feeding black dogs is the act of service one can do to appease Lord Bhairav.6. During this period, one should do Rudrabhishek to the Shivalingam.
