Bokaro: The Bokaro Steel Plant (BSL), a unit of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL), announced 160 internship positions under Phase III of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme (PMIS), aimed at enhancing employability among youth through hands-on industrial exposure.According to BSL chief of communication, Manikant Dhan, “Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of around Rs 9,000, jointly funded by the Govt of India and the company. The initiative seeks to equip participants with practical skills aligned with industry requirements.”The internships will span multiple technical and non-technical domains, including electrical, mechanical, fitter, welder, turner, civil, instrumentation, power distribution, metallurgy, logistics, HR, computer operations and programming assistance, among others. Eligible applicants include ITI, diploma holders, graduates (BSc, BCA, BA), and Class 12 pass candidates. The internship duration is set for nine months, Dhan said.The application window is open from April 1 till April 25, 2026.
