ICE Moves On Qasem Soleimani’s Family In Los Angeles After Anti-US Claims And Luxury Posts

Iranian leader’s relatives Hamideh Soleimani Afshar (left), 47, and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, 25, had been living a lavish life in the US.

50-year-old Halasious Bradford, a piano instructor, who rented a signle-story property owned by the niece of Iranian leader Gen Qasem Soleimani, described the dramatic scenes that unfolded when ICE arrested the mother and the daughter Friday. Bradford said the ICE arrest did not come out of the blue because agents were active in the streets. At around 5 pm on Friday, the agents arrested Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, 47, and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, 25, and their Green Cards were revoked for their ties to the Iranian regime. Afshar had celebrated attacks on US soldiers and military facilities, praised Iran’s Supreme Leader, called America the “Great Satan,” and voiced support for the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, a designated terror organization, according to the State Department.

Bradford said he was driving back home during the raid and found that the street was blocked off by ICE vehicles and three LAPD patrol cars. He did not see the women being taken away but he said it was the first time he met Hosseiny in person. He said both women were at the property for a scheduled City of Los Angeles inspection of the ADU, which explains why they were there when ICE arrived.Hosseiny’s boyfriend was also present during the raid, New York Post reported. He told Bradford that he and Hosseiny were driving outside the house when ICE intercepted them, demanding to know where Afshar was.Bradford said the home was listed for rent on Zillow, and he signed the lease online with Hosseiny because her mother, Afshar, did not speak English well.

When did Afshar, Hosseiny enter the US?

Afshar entered the US on a tourist visa in 2015, gained asylum in 2019, and became a green card holder in 2021. Her daughter arrived in 2021 on a student visa and secured her green card in 2023. Afshar had bought the property for $505,000 in 2021, the Post reported. She was living in a small ADU (accessory dwelling unit) behind the main property that Bradford rents. Inside her home, there was a selfie ring light, a full-form mannequin. She also had a black Tesla which was found stuffed with luxury goods, including a Dior bag, some Hermes cushions, a Sephora makeup bag etc. Sarin Sadat Hosseini’s Instagram account documented her lavish lifestyle such as visits to a nightclub in Miami, trips to Alaska, and celebrations in Las Vegas. But it was since deleted.
