Actor Rakesh Bedi has been enjoying a surge of appreciation ever since the release of ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’. Recalling the conversation with Lallantop, he said, “Boley, ‘Rakesh ji, maza aa gaya! Kya chhakka maara aapne!’ Maine bola, ‘Haan, tumne bahut chakke maare hain, but tumhare chhakke India mein gire hain. While Rakesh brings plenty of humour to the film, it’s the climax that truly elevates his character. Portraying a seasoned politician who has wielded influence in Lyari for over three decades, his role takes a dramatic turn when a major secret is unveiled. In a gripping revelation, his character confesses to Hamza—played by Ranveer Singh and also his son-in-law—that he is actually an Indian spy, much like him.The first installment had already showcased Rakesh Bedi in a layered role, where his scheming often added intrigue, even when it didn’t go as planned. The story followed Hamza’s infiltration into Lyari’s criminal networks as part of a mission to dismantle a terror operation targeting India. It also touched upon real-life events like the 2008 Mumbai attacks and the 2001 Indian Parliament attack, offering a glimpse into intelligence operations. The sequel dives deeper into Hamza’s past, exploring his identity as Jaskirat Singh Rangi, his rise in Lyari, and the personal struggles he endured. It also features a tense face-off between Hamza and Major Iqbal, played by Arjun Rampal. Alongside them, the film stars R. Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Sara Arjun, and Danish Pandor in key roles.
