Former two-division UFC champion Jon Jones was recently involved in a tense roadside confrontation in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The incident surfaced after a video was shared online by a local driver. He claimed that he was nearly hit multiple times by a black truck. What started as a frustrating moment on the road quickly escalated into a face-to-face exchange in a nearby parking lot.The situation, however, did not turn physical. Jones appeared calm during the brief interaction. He walked away after a short verbal exchange. The video has since gone viral, drawing attention due to Jones’ history of off-field controversies. While the moment remained under control, it has once again placed the spotlight on the former UFC champion outside the Octagon.

Jon Jones keeps his composure during heated roadside exchange

The incident took place near Central Avenue and Eubank in Albuquerque. A man named Bryan Beltran shared the video on Instagram, claiming that he was almost struck several times by a black Ford SVT while driving. According to him, the close calls happened repeatedly, even after he tried to alert the driver by revving his engine.Frustrated by the situation, Beltran reacted with a rude gesture. This appeared to trigger the next sequence of events. The driver of the truck reportedly stopped, reversed, and followed him into a nearby parking lot. It was there that Beltran realized the driver was Jon Jones. In the video, Jones is seen approaching in a composed manner. He kept one hand in his pocket and spoke calmly. He told the other driver to settle down and control his reaction. Before leaving, Jones responded with a similar gesture and walked away, ending the confrontation without further escalation.Beltran later explained that the repeated near-collisions had already irritated him. Especially after a similar driving issue the previous night. He admitted that he did not recognize Jones at first but quickly realized who he was during the exchange. Despite the incident, Beltran said he holds no grudges and even expressed hope that they could meet again and resolve the situation peacefully. The moment stands out because it did not turn physical, especially given Jones’ past legal troubles. Meanwhile, his fighting future remains uncertain, with recent reports suggesting he may not return to the UFC anytime soon.
