'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' 2nd April written update: Arman finally agrees to marry Meher after Maira's ultimatum
Tensions flare as Arman faces pressure to marry Meher, with Maira issuing an ultimatum. Abhira’s presence fuels the conflict, leading to Maira’s distress. Ultimately, Arman agrees to marry Meher, seemingly for Maira’s sake, though his true feelings remain uncertain, leaving Abhira concerned about Meher’s influence.

Today’s episode of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ begins with Arman telling Maira that she is too young to demand that he marry Meher like Geetanjali did. He asks her to come with him and apologize to everyone, but Maira refuses to go with him.

Maira confronts Arman over Abhira

Vidya asks Damyanti if she has found a priest, as she wants to discuss Arman and Meher’s wedding. Damyanti tells Vidya to first ask Arman if he actually wants to marry Meher. Vidya insists he will agree and asks Damyanti to call the priest. Kaveri shouts at Vidya over this. Maira then asks Arman if he is refusing to marry Meher because of Abhira, saying that ever since Abhira returned, so have his feelings for her. Arman tells Maira she is too young to talk about love. Maira argues that Meher is a perfect partner for him. Arman says he has his own reasons for not marrying Meher. When Maira keeps pushing him for answers, Arman simply says he hates marriage. Maira insists he marry Meher and move on with his life. Kaveri, meanwhile, scolds Vidya for giving Meher false hope, saying Arman will refuse and embarrass everyone in front of the guests. Kaveri makes it clear that Arman will choose his own life partner and shuts Vidya down before she can respond.

Maira gives Arman an ultimatum

Abhira comes to visit Arman and Maira. Maira reminds Arman that he is repeating another error by believing Abhira once again, since she only sees them as toys and games and plays with their feelings, and that she has not changed in any way. She asks Arman to move on with his life. Arman punishes Maira, who crossed the line, and asks her to concentrate on her education. Maira then issues an ultimatum to Arman, so that in case Meher can not be with him, then neither can she. Abhira gets emotional hearing this. Maira flees and shuts herself in her room. Both Abhira and Arman are left worried about Maira. Arman scolds Maira for crossing the line and tells her to focus on her studies. Maira then gives Arman an ultimatum, saying if Meher cannot be in his life, then neither can she. Abhira gets emotional hearing this. Maira runs off and locks herself in her room. Both Abhira and Arman are left worried about Maira. Vidya stops Abhira from going near Maira. Arman asks Maira to open the door. Vidya urges Arman to agree to marry Meher, so Maira will come out. Arman questions how Vidya can make such a demand. Vidya says Maira’s wish is not pointless, as she simply wants a family. She warns Arman that Maira is in trauma because of Abhira and could take a wrong step. Madhav says Maira is not weak, but Vidya continues pressing Arman to marry Meher. Kaveri searches for Arman and Maira. Damyanti asks Mamta and Nakul to reconsider whether they still want Disha to marry Aryan. Krish tells Meher that Arman will never agree to marry her as long as Abhira is around. Meher stands surprised. Kaveri, meanwhile, plays loud music to keep the drama away from the guests.

Arman agrees to marry Meher

Maira gives Arman another ultimatum, telling him to either marry Meher or lose her just like Abhira once left. She says she did not die without Abhira and will not die after getting separated from Arman either. Abhira then speaks up and says Arman should marry Meher. Kaveri waits for Arman’s decision. Arman finally announces he is ready to marry Meher. Abhira tells herself she only wants Maira’s happiness and can no longer ignore what is unfolding between Meher and Arman. Vidya is overjoyed. Maira, however, senses that Arman is not happy about this. Vidya insists he will be happy after the wedding. Abhira quietly leaves. Arman informs Meher that he is not able to love her. Meher tells her that she could never expect to reclaim her love. At the end of the episode, Abhira believes that Meher is not only dangerous to Maira and Arman but also that she should avoid her family
