In a recent update, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a fresh weather alert of rainfall in the plains and snowfall in Jammu & Kashmir in early April. Travellers planning a trip to the Union Territory are warned that the weather will remain the same because of an active western disturbance till April 10. As per IMD forecasts, the Western Himalayan region will experience intermittent spells of precipitation. The sky will remain cloudy and the upper regions will experience light to moderate rain, and snowfall. Kashmir Weather took to X and warned of incoming Western Disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir in next 36 hours. “A strong Western Disturbance is set to impact Jammu and Kashmir over the next 36 hours, bringing widespread moderate to heavy rain showers across the UT.
