Discussions are underway about possible exits of key figures, including FBI Director Kash Patel, Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll, and Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer.According to a report by The Atlantic, people familiar with White House planning said that these senior officials could soon be shown the door. However, the report added that the timing of any such move remains unclear and that President Donald Trump had “not yet made up his mind”.

The development comes amid an ongoing shake-up within the administration. In recent days, Trump has removed several top officials, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and US Army Chief of Staff Randy George. While those exits have already drawn attention, the report suggests they may be part of a broader pattern, with more changes likely in the coming days.According to the report, these internal discussions point to a shift in approach. Until now, Trump had largely avoided removing senior members of his team, especially those in key national security and administrative roles. The fact that names like Patel, Driscoll, and Chavez-DeRemer are now being discussed signals a possible change in that stance. For now, though, no final decisions have been announced.Kash Patel has been among the most closely watched officials in the Trump administration. His personal life has often made headlines, while reports of his private use of FBI jets to attend sporting events have also sparked controversy.More recently, his personal email account was hacked by an Iran-linked group known as Handala Hack Team. The group shared his old photos and resume online, warning that this was “just the beginning”. The FBI, however, said the breach did not affect government operations, as no official or sensitive information was involved and only the director’s old personal material was exposed.
