IGNOU extends assignment submission deadline for GOAL and EVBB June 2026 TEE
Indira Gandhi National Open University extends assignment submission deadline

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has officially announced an extension for the submission of assignments for its upcoming Term End Examinations (TEE) scheduled in June-2026. The extension applies to both Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes under GOAL and EVBB.In this regard, the university’s Student Evaluation Division has issued a notification, IG/SED/Assignment/TEE/June-2026, dated 1st April, 2026. The notification has confirmed that the last date for the submission of assignments has been extended. This extension will provide more time to the students to submit both hard and soft copies of the assignments.Extension approved by competent authorityThe extension has been granted with the approval of the competent authority at the university. The last date for the submission of assignments for the students of the GOAL and EVBB programs will now be on the 30th of April, 2026. The university has emphasized that the last date will be applicable to all the students of both ODL and online modes.In the notification, it is emphasized that the extension is official and final. The students are advised to ensure that the assignments, both hard and soft copies, are sent to the respective assignment section.The submission guidelines are still the sameThe guidelines for submitting assignments are still the same as those provided earlier. While students are required to send the hard copies to the Assignment Section of the Student Evaluation Division, soft copies can also be submitted through the online portal provided by the university. The university still follows a systematic approach to ensure that assignments are received and evaluated appropriately.While students are advised to refer to the separate portals for different courses for any specific guidelines that may be provided, the university still maintains that assignments received after April 30, 2026, may not be entertained.Ensuring compliance with the requirements of TEEThis initiative is part of IGNOU’s efforts to ensure the compliance of students with the requirements of TEE. This initiative has provided additional preparation time to the students so they can submit the assignments without the pressure of the original deadline.IGNOU’s GOAL and EVBB programmes are still adhering to a systematic evaluation process so that the assignments of the students are evaluated correctly and according to the academic standards set. This initiative is a part of the university’s efforts to support students on traditional and online platforms.
