A report from Filmibeat now suggests that ‘Jana Nayagan’ may finally release in the last week of April. The censorship issues have reportedly been settled, and the makers are considering April 24 or April 30 as possible release dates. This update has created huge excitement among Vijay fans who have been eagerly waiting for the film’s release. Directed by H. Vinoth, the film features a strong cast including Pooja Hegde, Bobby Deol, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Prakash Raj, Narain, and Mamitha Baiju. The music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander.
Censor Issues for ‘Jana Nayagan’
‘Jana Nayagan’ was sent again for review after the initial censor process raised concerns. A re-censorship committee reportedly watched the movie in Mumbai and suggested a few changes. Allegedly, Vijay’s film has many political scenes and dialogues, which led to further examination by the authorities. Because of this, the certification process took longer than expected, further delaying the confirmation of the release date.
Vijay’s film expected to arrive post Tamil Nadu polls
The upcoming Tamil Nadu election schedule has also played a role in the delay. Since the model code of conduct is currently in force and voting is scheduled for April 23, authorities reportedly advised against granting direct certification during the election period. Because of this situation, the film’s release is expected only after the election process ends. If the plan proceeds smoothly, ‘Jana Nayagan’ could finally reach theatres on April 24 or April 30, with fans eagerly awaiting the official announcement from the makers.
