Tovino Thomas responds to rumors about Dulquer Salmaan with humor
During the media interaction, Tovino was asked about rumors suggesting a problem between him and Dulquer Salmaan. The question referred to why his name was not widely mentioned during the promotions of a previous film they were both associated with. As per Cinema Vikatan, Tovino Thomas responded with humor and dismissed the speculation. He said, “Oh, they didn’t talk about me? Then I should probably call Dulquer and ask him why!” The actor laughed and then clarified that there had never been any issue between them. He added, “Dulquer and I have known each other for a long time. I actually worked as an assistant director on one of his films.” Tovino also mentioned that Dulquer has always been friendly and supportive.
Tovino Thomas shares details about the story and making of ‘Pallichattambi’
Speaking about the film, Tovino revealed that the idea for ‘Pallichattambi’ was discussed many years ago. He said, “We first started discussing this story in 2018. After several discussions, the script slowly took shape.” However, the project took time to begin as both he and the director were busy with other films. According to the actor, “The shooting finally started in 2025, and we worked on the film for more than 100 days.” He also explained that the movie is set in the late 1950s and reflects the social and political atmosphere of that period in Kerala. Though the story is fictional, it is inspired by certain real-life situations from that era.
