The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the correction window for NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 applications. Candidates who have registered for the exam can now modify some aspects of their applications. This correction window will be accessible from 21st January 2026 to 22nd January 2026, 11:50 pm.Earlier, the NTA had announced the rescheduling of the correction window thereby providing candidates with more time to review and correct their application forms. Once the time limit expires, the last date for accepting corrections will be considered closed.NIFTEE is the entrance test for admission to various UG and PG courses in design, fashion, and management that are conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology. A single error in the application form can lead to the whole admission process getting affected from the issuance of the admit card to the seat allotment.

What can be changed

NTA has allowed changes in selected fields only. Candidates can update:

  • Name, father’s or mother’s name (limited to one change)
  • Date of birth and gender
  • Category, sub-category, or PwBD status
  • Academic records including Class 10, Class 12, graduation, and post-graduation details
  • Exam city preferences

Programme selection (if applicable)Fields that cannot be changed include mobile number, email ID, permanent or present address, and uploaded signature. Any increase in fees due to category or programme changes must be paid online immediately.

How to correct your application

Candidates can follow the steps elucidated here to correct the NIFTEE application 2026:

  • Visit the official NIFTEE portal: exams.nta.nic.in/niftee
  • Click on the application correction link
  • Log in using your application number and password
  • Edit the permitted fields carefully
  • Review all entries thoroughly
  • Submit the corrected form and download the updated confirmation page

NTA has warned that the revised form is final and frozen once submitted. No further edits will be entertained.Candidates can click on the link provided here to make corrections to the NIFTEE application 2026.
