Danish Iqbal has opened up about playing Bade Saab, inspired by Dawood Ibrahim, his experience working with Aditya Dhar and why calling ‘Dhurandhar 2’ a propaganda film is unfair. He went on to praise Dhar for his rare courage to present things in an honest and unfiltered way.

In an interview with Firstpost, when asked about many labeling ‘Dhurandhar 2’ as a propaganda film, Danish said, “It is very easy to label anything as a propaganda or non-propaganda film. I don’t see any merit in this argument. It’s a film that people are enjoying and watching in good numbers.”

Sharing his experience working with the director, he said, “Aditya Dhar is like an electrifying monk – calm yet charged with vision. He is exceptionally clear about his ideas and fearless in execution. What he has achieved is nothing short of a cinematic miracle. I truly wish to work with him again and again. I have never experienced such a democratic director and such a warm, compassionate person on set.”
About ‘Dhurandhar 2’
‘Dhurandhar 2’, officially titled ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, is a spy action-thriller directed by Aditya Dhar and described as the sequel and final part of the ‘Dhurandhar’ duology. It stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun, and follows an undercover Indian intelligence agent continuing his mission inside Karachi’s criminal and political networks. The film was released in India on March 19, 2026, with paid previews beginning on March 18. The story continues after the death of Rehman Dakait, with Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari, pushing deeper into the gangster-terror nexus while facing bigger threats.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Danish Iqbal will next be seen in the film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla 2’. The much-talked-about sequel also stars Anupam Kher and Boman Irani. The comedy drama will reach audiences on August 28, coinciding with Raksha Bandhan.
