CDS II 2025 final result declared by UPSC, 302 candidates recommended for defence academies

UPSC CDS II result 2025: The Union Public Service Commission has declared the final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (II), 2025, listing 302 candidates in order of merit for admission to key defence training institutions. The examination was conducted in September, 2025, followed by interviews held by the Services Selection Board under the Ministry of Defence.The selected candidates have qualified for entry into the 161st (DE) Course of the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Kerala; and the Air Force Academy, Hyderabad under the Pre-Flying Training Course No. 220 F(P). The announcement was issued in New Delhi.Vacancies and course allocation detailsAccording to official information, the total vacancies notified include 100 positions at the Indian Military Academy, including 13 reserved for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders of the Army Wing. The Indian Naval Academy has 26 vacancies, including six for NCC ‘C’ Certificate holders of the Naval Wing and two in the Hydro category.The Air Force Academy has 32 vacancies, of which three are reserved for candidates holding NCC ‘C’ Certificates under the Air Wing through the NCC Special Entry scheme. Some candidates appear across multiple merit lists for different courses.Selection process and qualification stagesThe Commission had earlier recommended 2666 candidates as qualified in the written examination for the Indian Military Academy, 814 for the Indian Naval Academy, and 636 for the Air Force Academy. The final list reflects candidates who cleared the Services Selection Board interviews conducted by Army Headquarters.The results have been prepared without factoring in the outcome of medical examinations. Verification of date of birth and educational qualifications is currently underway. The candidature of all listed candidates remains provisional until this process is completed.
