Bihar matric result boys vs girls 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) on Sunday declared the Class 10 (Matric) Result 2026, recording an overall pass percentage of 81.79 percent. The results were announced during an official press conference attended by Education Minister Sunil Kumar and Board Chairman Anand Kishor.This year, Pushpanjali Kumari of Simultala Awasiya Vidyalaya, Jamui and Sabreen Praween of Vaishali jointly secured the top rank with 492 marks (98.4 percent). A total of 2,50,500 girls secured second division compared to 2,25,011 boys. Similarly, 1,67,427 girls achieved third division, surpassing 1,35,676 boys.This indicates that although boys had a slight edge in top-tier scores, girls maintained a broader performance advantage across categories, contributing to their higher overall success rate.Toppers list reflects gender trendThe merit list further reinforces the dominance of girls. Out of 139 students featured in the top 10 ranks, 57 are girls. Notably, the top five ranks include multiple female candidates, showcasing their strong academic presence among high achievers.Consistent performance over the yearsThe Board recorded a pass percentage of 81.79 percent this year, slightly lower than 82.11 percent in 2025 but maintaining a stable trend over recent years.
