Joe Rogan is not fully convinced about the idea of a Ultimate Fighting Championship event taking place at the White House. The promotion is planning a special fight card on June 14 on the South Lawn in Washington, D.C., as part of the United States’ 250th anniversary celebrations. But Rogan believes the timing and location could create real problems for fighters. Speaking on his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he pointed out that June weather in Washington can get very hot and humid. According to him, that kind of environment can change how a fight plays out inside the octagon.He explained that heat and humidity are not small issues in combat sports. Fighters already deal with weight cuts, pressure, and long rounds. Adding extreme weather into the mix could make things harder, especially for endurance and recovery during the fight. Rogan also questioned how the setup will handle cooling, since the event is expected to be held outdoors with a temporary arena.He said clearly, “I’m concerned about the White House fight. I’m concerned about it not just from a security standpoint. I’m concerned about it because it’s outside. It’s June, and it’s in Washington, D.C. If it’s hot out, it could very well be. The average humidity was around 67 per cent, and it was 100 degrees on June 14. That’s tough. That’s a big problem.”
Joe Rogan supports Movsar Evloev for title fight against Alexander Volkanovski at White House UFC event
While raising concerns, Joe Rogan also shared what he wants to see on that card. He strongly backed Movsar Evloev for a featherweight title fight.Evloev recently improved his record to 20-0 after beating Lerone Murphy in London. Even after losing a point during the fight, he still managed to win and extend his unbeaten run in the UFC to ten fights. That performance impressed Rogan.Rogan liked the way Evloev stood his ground and traded strikes. For him, that showed growth in his fighting style and proved he is ready for a bigger challenge. He believes Evloev should now face champion Alexander Volkanovski.During a UFC London Fight Companion stream, Rogan said, “The Evloev thing was very impressive. The fact that he was able to stand with him was very impressive to me. I’m into [Alexander Volkanovski vs. Evloev]. God, I hope so. I hope they don’t mess him again. After this? It has to be, or something is terrible in the world.”He also connected this idea to the White House event and added, “White House lawn, let’s go. Give the man a couple of months off. We’re only in March, it’s in June. Come on, spice that card up.”The event is still being planned as a large production with limited live attendance and a bigger public viewing setup nearby. But as excitement builds, Rogan’s concerns about fighter safety and performance are now part of the conversation.
