'People of India, Germany … ': Iran launches 83rd wave of strikes on Israel; 'Thank you' written on missiles

Iran launched missiles toward Israel bearing gratitude messages for those nations who expressed solidarity with Tehran amid the ongoing war. One of the messages was for Indians that read: “Thank you to people of India”.Similar thank you notes were also reportedly addressed to people Spain, Pakistan, and Germany, according to visuals circulating on social media.

Footage showed personnel from Iran’s Aerospace Force inscribing the missiles with these messages before launch.The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said the 83rd wave of strikes, carried out on Friday, involved long‑ and medium‑range missiles and drones targeting sites in Israel and military facilities across the Gulf, including those used by US forces. Iranian agencies reported that a maintenance facility for the US Patriot air defence system in Bahrain was among the sites hit.The strikes come amid escalating hostilities following months of attacks between Tehran and Israel, with ballistic missiles frequently launched toward Israeli territory as part of Iran’s retaliatory response amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.Despite the military escalation, Iran on Thursday said it had allowed transit through the Strait of Hormuz for “friendly nations,” including India, signalling a limited diplomatic opening even as tensions simmer.Large numbers of people from the Shia community in Jammu and Kashmir stepped forward to show solidarity with the Iranian people affected by the conflict. In Chanderkot area of Ramban district, hundreds gathered at the local imambara on Tuesday, donating cash, household utensils, gold and silver ornaments, even children emptied their piggy banks, to support those enduring hardship in war‑hit Iran. Some donors offered livestock such as sheep as part of the relief drive, news agency ANI reported.In Budgam, residents contributed jewellery and cash in a show of solidarity and support for Iranians amid the ongoing Gulf War crisis.
