Actor Sanjay Dutt was recently seen behind the wheel of a Tesla Cybertruck on Mumbai roads. The electric pickup, which hasn’t been launched in India yet, has been brought in from Dubai and is only here for a short while. Notably, the Cybertruck seen on the streets is a left-hand-drive model and is reportedly in the country on a Carnet permit, allowing temporary use. In a video that has been doing the rounds online, shared by an Instagram page Varinder T Chawla, Sanjay Dutt can be seen driving a Tesla Cybertruck. It remains unclear whether the actor owns the electric pickup or was simply trying it out. The actor owns other luxury cars such as Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600, Range Rover SV, Land Rover Defender, Rolls Royce Ghost, Mercedes-Maybach S580, Ferrari 299 GTB, Audi R8, BMW 7 Series, Audi Q7 and more.

Speaking of the Cybertruck, Tesla has yet to offer the model in the Indian market. At present, the brand’s India-facing portfolio is limited to the Model Y. In the US, the Tesla Cybertruck is priced from around $80,000, with higher-spec variants commanding a significantly higher premium. The Cybertruck stands out for its bold, sci-fi-inspired styling that breaks away from conventional pickup design. Its silhouette is sharply tapered, almost wedge-like, with flat surfaces, crisp angles, and pronounced creases dominating the exterior. Adding to its distinctive appearance are the minimalist full-width light bars at both ends.

Tesla says that the pickup’s exterior is built using 30X cold-rolled stainless steel, a material chosen for its exceptional toughness. The company claims this hardened body shell is highly resistant to dents and strong enough to withstand impacts as severe as 9mm rounds.

The Tesla Cyber truck offers three powertrain configurations: single, dual, and tri-motor setups. The top of the lineup is the tri-motor version, which is also the quickest and most powerful Cybertruck on offer. It can sprint from 0 to 100 kmph in under three seconds and is claimed to deliver a driving range of more than 805 km. The variant is also built for serious work, with towing capability rated at up to 14,000 pounds (around 6,350 kg). On the other hand, the dual-motor all-wheel-drive version focuses more on balance, offering a claimed range of about 563 km on a single charge.Source: Instagram/varindertchawla
