'I’m nervous': Vikrant Massey reveals who will watch his Sri Sri Ravi Shankar biopic 'White' first

National Award-winning actor Vikrant Massey is gearing up for his next big-screen project, White, a biopic based on spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. During a recent public interaction, Vikrant shared an interesting detail that quickly caught attention — he revealed who will be the very first person to watch the film.

Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will be the first to watch White

Vikrant confirmed that the first screening of White will be for none other than Sri Sri Ravi Shankar himself. Admitting that the thought makes him anxious, the actor said he is nervous about the spiritual leader’s reaction. “The first person to watch the movie will be him. I’m nervous thinking about what he will say about the film. I have shown him some clippings and he said nothing… so it’s all good,” Vikrant shared.

Vikrant Massey to play Sri Sri Ravi Shankar

For any actor, portraying a real-life personality comes with immense pressure. However, having the subject of the biopic watch the film first takes that pressure to another level — something Vikrant’s candid admission made all the more relatable.

Long hours, prosthetics and personal growth

Vikrant also spoke about the intense physical preparation required for the role, revealing that prosthetics played a key part in achieving the transformation. “I had to spend over 5 to 5.30 hours on makeup and hair, and we shot for over 10 hours on top of that,” he said.Beyond the demanding schedule, the experience also had a personal impact on the actor. Vikrant shared that working on the film helped him find a sense of calm in his everyday life.“Unki wajah se main apni zindagi mein thoda thehraav la paaya hoon, and that has had an impact on me personally (Because of him, I’ve been able to bring a little stability into my life, and that has had a personal impact on me),” he added, hinting at the quiet influence the role had on him.

Why portraying Sri Sri Ravi Shankar was challenging

Vikrant admitted that playing Sri Sri Ravi Shankar came with unique challenges, describing him as a personality unlike any other. “It was very challenging to play him because he is a very unique personality. He is actually someone who has no blueprint. He is only one in himself. So, a lot of preparation has to be done,” he said.
