Bajaj Chetak e-scooter gets discount but with a condition

Bajaj Auto recently launched the new Bajaj Chetak C25 electric scooter in the Indian market priced at Rs 91,399 (ex-showroom). Interested customers can book the e-scooter online or visit their nearest dealership. And now, the company has rolled out a price benefit of Rs 4,299 on the Chetak C2501. The offer is reserved for the first 10,000 buyers, lowering the scooter’s effective purchase price to Rs 87,100. The new Bajaj Chetak is the most accessible model in the Chetak range, offering a significantly lower price point along with reduced range and top speed. The new Bajaj Chetak C25 competes with Ola S1 X, Hero Vida VX2, and TVS Orbiter. Talking about battery first, the Chetak C25 is powered by a floorboard-mounted 2.5kWh battery paired with a hub-mounted motor rated for 1.8kW (continuous) and 2.2kW (peak). It has a claimed range of 113km and has a top speed of 55 kph. Using a 750W charger, the battery can be charged to full in claimed 3.45 hours.

Design-wise, the new Bajaj Chetak C25 features minor cosmetic changes. The front apron gets redesigned which gives the scooter a cleaner appearance. The turn indicators have been relocated from the apron to the handlebar and the signature horseshoe-shaped headlamp remains, complete with an LED daytime running light neatly integrated around it.At rear, the scooter now features a redesigned taillamp with a horizontal layout, moving away from the earlier split-style arrangement. The seat has also been reworked and is now flatter, measuring 650 mm in length with a seat height of 763 mm. The C2501 is offered in six colour options – green, white, black, grey, red and yellow. Features-wise, it gets an LCD instrument display, key-based ignition, a twin-sided swingarm, an open glovebox, with LED lighting all around, 25 litres of under-seat storage, reverse assist, Bluetooth connectivity with music playback, and a USB charging port.
