No more Zakir Khan live till 2030? Reason behind his long break and when you can see him last
Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan announced a significant hiatus from live comedy, planning to step away for three to five years after his current tour concludes on June 20. Citing health and the demanding nature of non-stop touring, Khan admitted his body has been warning him for some time.

Stand-up comedian Zakir Khan is taking a long pause from live comedy, and the news has quietly turned into one of the most talked-about moments from his current tour.During a recent show in Hyderabad, where he’s performing his stand-up special Papa Yaar, Zakir casually dropped a line that caught everyone off guard. He told the audience that once this tour ends, he plans to step away from the stage for a long time. Not a few months. Possibly three to five years. In his own words, the break could stretch till 2028, 2029, or even 2030.A short clip from that moment is now going viral online, with fans reacting to both the length of the break and the honesty behind it.

So why is Zakir taking this step?

The reason, he said, is health. And timing.Over the past decade, Zakir has toured non-stop – back-to-back cities, multiple shows a day, constant travel, little sleep, irregular meals, and almost no recovery time. He admitted that his body has been warning him for a while, but he kept pushing through.

Zakir Khan reveals his viral friend ‘Kuntal’ doesn’t exist

Mumbai, Dec 11 (IANS) Comic artiste and actor Zakir Khan has shared that his friend ‘Kuntal’, who he based his stand-up special ‘Mannpasand’ on, doesn’t exist.

In an older Instagram post, he had already shared that he felt unwell for nearly a year but continued working anyway. He loves performing, he said. But ignoring his health for so long wasn’t sustainable anymore. The break, according to him, is long overdue.Because of this decision, his current India tour has already been trimmed. No new cities are being added. Once his upcoming special is recorded, doctors have advised him to stop touring completely and focus only on recovery and personal matters he’s been postponing for years.

When is his last show?

Zakir has hinted that his live shows will continue only until June 20, 2026. After that, he plans to step away from stand-up for several years. There won’t be a formal farewell show, but he has called his remaining performances “celebrations” and urged fans to attend if they can.

ZAKIR KHAN NEWS

Online reactions have been a mix of shock and support. Many fans say they’ll miss seeing him live, but most agree with one thing – health comes first. For now, Zakir Khan is finishing this chapter quietly. And then, he’s pressing pause.
