New Zealand allows international students to stay and work in the country after completing their studies through the Post Study Work Visa. The duration may vary from one qualification to another, going up to three years. This policy creates a direct relationship between the study and the stay for work purposes. It has been clearly stated that the duration of the visa will only depend on the structure of the approved courses, and there will be no extension if there is a delay in completing the courses. Duration depends on qualification levelStudents who have completed a Master’s or Doctoral degree in New Zealand are eligible to apply for a Post Study Work Visa for a maximum period of three years if they have studied for a minimum period of 30 weeks. This type of visa provides the maximum time for work.In other words, for students who have undertaken their courses at level 8 or below, the duration of the visa is directly related to the period of their course.
