After the massive success of ‘Jailer,’ Superstar Rajinikanth has teamed up again with director Nelson Dilipkumar for ‘Jailer 2,’ generating huge excitement among fans. Sun Pictures backs the film, with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Featuring a terrific cast that includes Mohanlal, Shiva Rajkumar, Ramya Krishnan and Mithun Chakraborty, the sequel also reportedly stars S. J. Suryah and Vijay Sethupathi, making it the most awaited film of the year in Indian cinema.
Mirna Menon ’s viral statement on ‘Jailer 2’
Actress Mirna Menon, who was part of the first film, recently spoke about ‘Jailer 2’ at a college event. Recalling her experience from the first part, as per Nakkheeran, she said, “When I was promoting another film during ‘Jailer,’ I was asked how it was shaping up. I said, ‘We had just shot the interval block, and I feel nothing like this has come in Tamil cinema before, and I don’t know if it will again.’” She then raised expectations for the sequel by adding, “If the interval block in the first part was like that, just imagine how this part will be.” Her words have now gone viral and increased curiosity among fans.
Rajinikanth’s timeless style and energy praised by Mirna
Speaking about Rajinikanth, Mirna shared her admiration and respect for the superstar. She said, “I watched ‘Padayappa’ 25 years ago, where Ramya Krishnan says age has not taken away his style and beauty. When I see Rajini sir now, I remember that dialogue.” She added, “He has the same style and energy even today. Beyond all that, he is a very good human being, and there is so much to learn from him.”

Nelson is reportedly pulling off one of the biggest casting feats in Indian cinema history. While the first film featured legendary cameos, the sequel is expanding those roles into significant plot points. Superstar Rajinikanth officially confirmed that Jailer 2 will hit theaters worldwide on June 12, 2026.
