Punjab Subordinate Services Selection Board (PSSSB) has reminded candidates that the online registration for the Group D recruitment 2026 will close tomorrow, March 20, 2026, at 5:00 PM. Aspiring candidates seeking positions like Sewadar, Chowkidar, Sweeper, Mali, Laboratory Attendant, and other Group D posts across Punjab government departments are advised to complete their applications immediately. The recruitment offers a pay scale of Level‑1 under the 7th CPC, roughly ₹18,000 – ₹56,900 plus allowances.

Eligibility and age limit

Candidates must have passed Matriculation (10th class) with Punjabi as a subject from a recognised board. Age requirements as on January 1, 2026, are 18–37 years for general candidates, with relaxation available for reserved categories according to Punjab government rules. Candidates are advised to check their eligibility carefully before applying.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for PSSSB recruitment by following the steps below:

  1. Visit the official portal: sssb.punjab.gov.in
  2. Fill out the online application form accurately.
  3. Upload required documents, including educational certificates, ID proof, caste/PwD certificate (if applicable), and photograph & signature.
  4. Pay the application fee online (General: ₹1,000; SC/BC: ₹250; PwD: ₹500; Ex‑Servicemen: ₹200).
  5. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

Selection process

Applicants will be selected through a written examination followed by document verification. The exam will include multiple-choice questions on General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Punjabi, English, Logical Reasoning, Punjab History & Culture, and Information & Communication Technology (ICT). Preparing for these topics in advance can help candidates improve their chances of success.
