The US government has registered the domain aliens.gov, according to WHOIS (GoDaddy registry data). The registration was reportedly completed by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) on Tuesday. As of now, the site is not active yet. The move follows President Donald Trump’s statement last month that he would instruct federal agencies to release files related to alien life, unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP), and unidentified flying objects (UFOs).As reported by Forbes, US President Donald Trump referenced former President Barack Obama in a podcast, noting that while life could exist elsewhere in the universe, there was no evidence of extraterrestrial visits during his presidency. Obama later clarified his remarks, emphasising that the vast distances between solar systems make such contact unlikely.
Alien mystery deepens as US Government locks ‘aliens.gov’
The domain registration by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) appears to be part of standard government procedures for launching official online initiatives. No official statement has been issued regarding the content of aliens.gov or its planned release schedule.Government and Pentagon sources have previously examined UAPs and UFOs. In 2024, the Pentagon’s All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office released a report stating that no evidence of extraterrestrial activity was found. The report did note 21 cases with anomalous characteristics that could not be explained.
UAP hearings spotlight alleged government disinformation and global UFO research
Congress has held multiple hearings on UAPs in recent years. In 2024, retired US Navy Rear Admiral Tim Gallaudet testified before a congressional committee, claiming that some government elements had conducted disinformation campaigns against UAP whistleblowers. Former Department of Defense official Luis Elizondo also testified that the US and other countries possessed UAP-related technologies.Representative Thomas Massie, R-Ky., commented on social media that while public interest in UAPs is high, other ongoing investigations, such as the Epstein files, remain active.
Aliens.gov registration fuels speculation on future UFO data releases
The Trump administration has previously created dedicated government domains for public initiatives, including TrumpRx, a direct-to-consumer prescription service, and the Trump Gold Card, an immigration-related program. At present, the registration of the domain does not indicate when files or information will be released. No further details have been provided by CISA or other government agencies. The domain’s registration is confirmed, and public interest in UAP and UFO disclosures continues to be noted in media reports.
