Ugadi, celebrated in the southern states, carries a similar essence of new beginnings but is marked by unique customs and rituals. One of the most significant traditions is the preparation of Ugadi Pachadi—a special dish made with six distinct flavors: sweet, sour, salty, bitter, pungent, and tangy.
