Swara Bhasker breaks silence on 'fake tweet' attributed to her about Priyanka Chopra's Oscars 2026 appearance: 'Ajeeb desperation hai'

Swara Bhasker who is often in the news for her social media presence and also banter with trolls sometimes recently found herself trending again after a supposed post criticising Priyanka Chopra Jonas during her Oscars 2026 appearance went viral. However, on March 18, Swara set the record straight, stating that the post was completely fabricated. Taking to social media, she shared a screenshot of the viral tweet and clarified that it was not written by her. Calling it out, she said, “Sanghis created her fake tweet to mock her.” She further addressed the situation in detail, writing, “So apparently, Sanghis have created this fake tweet and are circulating it to mock me. Ajeeb desperation hai. I’m capable of generating my own controversies, guys , you don’t have to implant me in other people’s news. I mean, I know you guys are obsessed with me, but I’ll give you content na! So yeah, this supposed tweet of mine is FAKE!”The fake post falsely attributed to Swara read, “No matter how much you fake yourself to please some people, one day your real face will come in front of the whole world and you will face the consequences you deserve.”The controversy emerged shortly after Priyanka’s appearance at the Academy Awards 2026 on March 15. She was on stage alongside Javier Bardem to present the Best International Feature Film award. During the moment, Javier, wearing a “No to War” pin, said, “No to war and Free Palestine,” while Priyanka stood beside him, nodding and smiling, an interaction that quickly went viral online.Priyanka also made headlines for her red carpet appearance with husband Nick Jonas, with the couple later grabbing attention at the after-party as well.
