MG Majestor unveil date confirmed: Key things about Toyota Fortuner rival

JSW MG Motor has confirmed that it will unveil the MG Majestor on February 12, 2026. The Majestor was first showcased earlier at the 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo, where it made its public debut. The MG Majestor is a heavily refreshed iteration of the Gloster, but it will be positioned as a more premium offering above it. There is currently no clarity on whether both models will coexist in the lineup. The three-row, ladder-frame SUV features a comprehensive overhaul from the inside out.

In terms of design, the SUV features a large, imposing grille, sleek headlights mounted on the bumper, and LED DRLs. The side profile highlights its premium stance with 19-inch alloy wheels, while the rear is marked by new connected LED tail-lights and a more sophisticated bumper design, giving the SUV a refreshed and modern appearance. The interior details haven’t been revealed yet, but it’s expected to get dual-tone upholstery and a fully digital instrument cluster, a larger free-standing infotainment system, a wireless charger, a panoramic sunroof, a Level 2 ADAS suite, automatic three-zone climate control, powered, ventilated, heated front seats, LED headlights, fog lamps, LED taillights and more.

Mechanically, the MG Majestor is expected to be powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine, producing 163 hp and 375 Nm in the 4×2 variant, while the 4×4 version is likely to offer higher outputs of 218 hp and 480 Nm. The SUV is also expected to feature differential locks, along with dedicated switches to toggle between 2WD, 4WD, and a low-range 4WD mode.The SUV was recently also spotted testing undergoing rigorous off-road testing across a variety of challenging terrains. The test vehicle is shown climbing over large rocks, clearly highlighting its suspension articulation and underbody capability. In one of the images, the SUV is seen perched on a rock, offering a clear view of the wheel travel and ground clearance. Additionally, the test mule features prominent ‘India’s first D-Plus SUV’ branding on its side, hinting at its positioning and segment placement.
