Directed by Aditya Dhar, the spy action thriller is already rewriting history with advance bookings surpassing Rs.130 crore worldwide. According to India Today, during the chat, Ranveer asked the crowd about their favorite songs from the first film, and many picked tracks like ‘Ishq Ishq’, ‘Shararat’, and ‘Karvaan’. In response, he said, “This is what makes it special, as everyone has their own favourites and all of them are different.”

Talking about the response to the film, Singh added, “Our entire team is so happy and excited. Also, we are so humbled and grateful for the response to the first part of the film. We are so humbled with the kind of excitement and anticipation that we have seen for the second part; it is unprecedented”. He also discussed the film’s global appeal, noting that audiences not only in India but worldwide are eagerly awaiting its release.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, the film hits screens on March 19, following paid preview shows on March 18. According to Sacnilk reports, these previews have already grossed about Rs 40.54 crore in advance bookings. Overseas, it’s off to a strong start too, with opening weekend advances pegged at roughly Rs 60 crore. Total advance sales have now surpassed Rs 130 crore.

‘Dhurandhar 2’ is a spy action thriller picking up from the first film’s storyline, centered on missions and secret operations. It releases in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The cast includes Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Sara Arjun, and Rakesh Bedi, with production by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
