The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 final answer key is expected to be released soon by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, the conducting body for this year’s examination. GATE final answer key release timeline
According to recent media reports, the GATE 2026 final answer key is expected around March 17–18, 2026, shortly before the declaration of results.The final answer key incorporates all changes accepted by the exam authority after evaluating candidate objections raised during the challenge window. The objection facility for the provisional answer key was open from February 25 to February 28, 2026 through the GOAPS portal.Once released, the answer key will be available in PDF format for each subject paper, allowing candidates to verify the official solutions used in the evaluation process.
GATE 2026 result date
The GATE 2026 result is scheduled to be announced on March 19, 2026, on the official website.Candidates will be able to check their results through the GOAPS portal using their enrolment ID/email and password. The result will include:
- Marks obtained out of 100
- GATE score (normalised score out of 1000)
- All India Rank (AIR)
- Qualifying status
The scorecard will be available for download after the result announcement and will remain valid for three years, making it usable for postgraduate admissions and PSU recruitment.

- Select your subject paper.
- Download the PDF file of the answer key.
- Save it for reference and compare it with your response sheet.
Candidates will be able to access the GATE 2026 final answer key on the official website. It will be released for all 30 papers conducted in the examination, including engineering, science, and interdisciplinary subjects.
