So, LPG is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases—propane and butane. These are liquefied under pressure for easy storage and transport.

The United States is the largest producer of LPG worldwide. The country alone is accountable for roughly 84 million tonnes of production every year. It represents about 26% of total global LPG output, which is huge. Reasons behind:1. Shale Gas RevolutionThe Shale Gas Revolution increased natural gas production in the U.S. Shale basins including the Permian Basin and Marcellus Shale produce large quantities of propane and butane.2.
