Imtiaz Ali announces his next starring Diljit Dosanjh, titled 'Main Vaapas Aunga', first look revealed
Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’, starring Diljit Dosanjh, Sharvari, Vedang Raina, and Naseeruddin Shah, reveals its first look, evoking a nostalgic love story. The film’s teaser drops Friday, with release set for June 12, 2026. Produced by Applause Entertainment and Window Seat Films, it reunites A.R. Rahman and Irshad Kamil.

The makers of Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’ have finally revealed the film’s first look after a long wait. The posters, now all over social media, give a feel of an old-time love story. One of the pictures shows Sharvani riding a bicycle through fields while Vedang Raina, dressed as a sardar, runs beside her.

Diljit Dosanjh’s character in ‘Main Vaapas Aaunga’

On the other hand, Diljit Dosanjh is seen standing calmly in the middle of the field, his expression reflecting quiet composure. In another photo, he’s holding a travel cup, hinting that his character might be7 from a big city or perhaps living abroad. Though the first look posters don’t reveal much about the story, Main Vaapas Aaunga appears to be set across two different timelines.

Release date

The makers are set to unveil the teaser of the drama on Friday. Starring Diljit Dosanjh, Naseeruddin Shah, Vedang Raina, and Sharvari in lead roles, the film promises a heartfelt tale of love and longing. Main Vaapas Aaunga is scheduled to hit theatres on June 12 this year.The film also reunites the iconic trio — Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman, lyricist Irshad Kamil, and filmmaker Imtiaz Ali.
