The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the application correction window for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. Candidates who have already submitted their application forms can now make necessary changes by visiting the official website at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET.According to the official notice, the NCET 2026 application correction window opened on March 12 and will remain available until March 14, 2026, up to 11:50 pm. Candidates are advised to review their application forms carefully and make corrections within the given deadline, as no further opportunity for edits will be provided after the window closes.
How to edit the NCET 2026 application form
To make changes in the application form, candidates need to log in to the portal using their application number and password. After logging in, they can edit the permitted fields and submit the updated details.Direct link here.
Fields that can be edited
The NTA has allowed candidates to modify several details in the application form. However, the type of changes allowed varies by field.Candidates can change any one of the following fields:
- Candidate’s name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
Candidates can edit all of the following details:
- Class 10 or equivalent examination details
- Class 12 or equivalent examination details
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category, PwBD or PwD status (if not verified by UDID)
- Signature
- Candidates can also add or modify the following details:
- Subject or test paper
- University, programme, or course preference
Details that cannot be edited
Certain important details cannot be changed during the correction window. These include the candidate’s mobile number, e-mail address, permanent address, present address, and uploaded photograph.However, candidates who used an identity proof other than Aadhaar during registration can update their identity information, including Aadhaar details.
NCET 2026 exam details
The NCET 2026 examination will be conducted on April 17 in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The exam will be held in multiple languages, including English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Urdu.Candidates can also request a change in their exam city based on their permanent or current address. However, the NTA may not necessarily accept the requested exam city or exam medium.Applicants are advised to check all the details carefully before submitting the corrected form to avoid issues during the examination process.
