Senior police officers, along with forensic teams, reached the spot after receiving information and began an investigation. The body was sent for post-mortem after panchnama proceedings. ACP Sahu said the officer was posted in Chhattisgarh in connection with anti-Naxal responsibilities. He said police are examining all angles, though a preliminary line of inquiry points to possible domestic discord. Police said Yadav’s wife had earlier served in the Air Force and is now working in the IT sector in Bengaluru. The deceased officer is stated to be originally from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh. Police said family members are being questioned and his mobile phone has been taken into custody for examination.According to preliminary information, the couple reportedly had frequent disputes and personal issues may have prompted him to end his life, the official said.
