Firing at event with ex-J&K CM Farooq Abdullah present, 1 arrested

NEW DELHI: Firing was reported at a function attended by former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah along with Deputy CM Surinder Choudhary, according to Jammu and Kashmir Police. Police, quoted by ANI, further said one person has been arrested in connection with the incident. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the firing. The JKNC chief was reportedly returning from a marriage function when a man open fired.(More details awaited)
