JAMMU: An NIA court in Jammu rejected the bail application of an accused in a terror funding case on Friday, citing the seriousness of the charges related to national security and the stage of the trial.Tanvir Ahmed Wani is accused of conspiring with Pakistani traders and importing goods, including almond consignments, more than permissible limits through under-invoicing, thereby generating extraordinary profits allegedly meant for terrorist organisations.“Part of the proceeds was provided to outfits, including Hizbul Mujahideen and Lashkar-e-Taiba, in cash and through banking channels,” NIA alleged.Tanvir allegedly provided money and SIM cards to Hizbul Mujahideen operatives. Incriminating material, including militant photographs, letter pads of banned organisations, and a money demand note from a Lashkar commander, was recovered from his house, NIA said.
